Description

The Stratasys F170 is a high performance 3D printer from the F123 series capable of printing with composite materials.

Multi-material capability makes the F170 multifunctional, allowing you to produce complex parts with varying degrees of flexibility, while maintaining high accuracy and repeatability. A special Fast Draft mode is used to quickly create high-quality prototypes. This feature will help shorten the development cycle of the final product in order to stay ahead of the competition.

The main advantages of the equipment are the minimum set-up of the equipment, the possibility of continuous printing and the rapid replacement of media, which significantly reduces equipment downtime. GrabCAD Print software streamlines your workflow and gives you the ability to go from CAD file directly to the 3D printing process.

The high level of accuracy and repeatability of printing using engineered materials indicates the high reliability of the Stratasys F170.

Stratasys breaks into the industrial SLA 3D printing market with the new V650 Flex

3D printing

900

2 The V650 Flex is the first commercial SLA printer in Stratasys' 30-year history and reflects the company's shift in market strategy by opening up the possibility of using third-party materials.

Building on patented technology developed for its Direct Manufacturing division, Stratasys launched the V650 Flex, the first commercial stereolithographic 3D printer in its 30-year history.

To optimize traditional stereolithography, engineers equipped the V650 with a 508 x 508 x 584 mm build chamber, interchangeable vats for quick replacement of photopolymer materials, and adopted an “open system” policy - the ability to use any third-party materials for printing (a first in Stratasys history) .

A partnership with DSM, and their popular Somos line of stereolithography resins, means four resins will be selected for its launch in the third quarter of 2019. Most of the SLA resins on the market are expected to work with the Open Vat platform.

Direct Manufacturing has 28 years of experience in the field of stereolithography, so the V650 3D printer has a powerful control system with a customizable environment for fine tuning to a specific material.

“The printer was designed for service bureaus and large corporate clients. This is not just a beautiful car like the F123. It is designed to be very accurate, high speed and compact. Where a competitor can fit two similar units, we can fit three,” said Pat Carey, senior vice president of sales at Stratasys.

The V650 Flex 3D printer has already accumulated over 75,000 hours of operation and produced over 150,000 parts.

The F120 3D Printer is a new addition to the Stratasys product line for educational and prototyping applications.

Stratasys has added a new model to its product range, the F120, which is part of the F123 FDM family.

This printer is significantly cheaper than the Stratasys F170, not to mention the top of the range Fortus FDM. Stratasys attributes this to a desire to make its FDM technology more accessible and expects the F120 3D printer to meet growing demand in the education market.

Its cost should fill the cost gap between the F170 and Stratasys' Makerbot printers.

The F120 does not have the material compartments of the F170 even though it has a 254mm x 254mm x 254mm heated build chamber, so large spools of filament are placed on a nearby surface, making it more convenient for office use.

Despite the use of ABS, the material range will not include "manufacturing thermoplastic" threads such as the new F123 TPU material, which has made the F123 line much more attractive to designers and engineers.

The F120 3D Printer is available for order now, with shipments starting in July.

Comment by Dmitry Guzeev, Head of Project Sales at NISSA Digispace:

segments, the main ones being burnt-out casting and orthodontics. A particularly important advantage is the move away from chipped materials towards an open system. Undoubtedly, the V650 should become a worthy competitor to industrial SLA printers and find its niche in those segments and companies where dimensional accuracy and, most importantly, batch-to-batch printing stability are traditionally important - the advantages that make Stratasys a reliable partner for any production companies. "
