They've got a smattering of stellar 3D printing for beginners YouTube uploads. Add to their over 80K subscribers list for loads of juicy 3D printing watching.

Maker Thomas Sanladerer creates some spectacular 3D printed projects. Sanladerer tests hardware including different beds, and created among the coolest 3D printing projects out there: a battery-powered 3D print anywhere machine complete with a Raspberry Pi and OctoPi onboard. By watching Thomas, you'll assuredly gain tons of maker motivation.

Unfortunately, 3D printing can seem daunting, particularly for beginners. Much of the maker space may present as challenging for newbies. Enter 3D Maker Noob. Project videos provide comprehensive information on everything from material used to how to whip up a creation. As such, 3DMN covers the what, why, and how. He doesn't skip a step, going over painting finished prints, adding electronics such s LEDs, and truly simplifies projects.

If you haven't discovered Print That Thing, you're missing out. Loaded with niche videos, you'll absolutely elevate your 3D printing with these tips and tricks to help you learn 3D design. 3D printed cat armor? Check, 3D printing rap? Yep, that too. A challenge in 3D printing is size, but Print That Thing has tackled large items. In fact, Jwall currently lives in a gutted trailer turned AR/VR studio, and owns a truck transformed into a 3D printing studio. Jwall's ongoing project is 3D printing a tiny house.

Best 3D Printing YouTube Channels

Although many 3D printing YouTube channels populate the interwebs, these provide varied content. Some such as DIY Machines and Make Anything are a bit more straightforward with tutorials and hardware reviews. The likes of Print That Thing and Thomas Sanladerer experiment with forward-thinking projects such as completely portable 3D printers and printing houses. Others, such as 3D Printing Professor, concentrate on insight into 3D printing concepts. You might also consider turning to Twitter for 3D printing experts to help you along your 3D printing journey.

While Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D Printing has become accessible to the masses, the original approach utilizing paper or plastic/resin Stereo Lithography (SLA) machines from the 90's have merely become refined and enhanced with a wide gamut of materials and components. In the video below, CNC Kitchen discusses his 4-Axis 3D Printer built after meeting Michael Wüthrich and his team at The Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW – Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften), where The RotBot was created in the process of publishing their paper: A Novel Slicing Strategy to Print Overhangs without Support Material. With the addition of an extra axis, and multiple G-code slicing sessions from planar to conular and back to planar, it's possible to print specific shape types without the need for support materials.

Political scientist Yekaterina Shulman: "Madness is of a strategic nature"

Radio Liberty's special guest today is Yekaterina Shulman, political scientist, publicist, candidate of political sciences, scholarship holder of the Bosch Academy.

Sergei Medvedev: The topic you suggested is the beneficiaries of the war. But is it possible to talk here at all about some kind of benefit, calculation? From the point of view of common sense, this war was unleashed against every advantage.

I'll start with an anecdote. Ivan Tsarevich goes to the well to get drunk, and then the Serpent Gorynych arrives. Ivan starts chopping heads, but where he cuts a head, two grow; where he cuts two, four grows. Tired Ivan Tsarevich, threw away the sword, said: "I can't do anything." And the Serpent asks him: "Why did you come here?" - "Drink water." - "I would have drunk, what bothered you?" And what prevented Putin? Everything was in the pocket, the West accepted Russia as it is, oil was pouring, palaces were built in Gelendzhik, the opposition was purged, the Constitution was replaced. nine0005

Political systems do pretty crazy things that lead to their destruction, death

Ekaterina Shulman: This parallel, of course, is extremely flattering for the current Russian authorities: they are Ivan Tsarevichs with a sword and are fighting the evil Gorynych. But the situation does not seem to be the case. If someone is waving something there, then it does not disperse any ominous shadow, but rather the opposite.

The well-known principle of Roman jurisprudence "who benefits" is a bit sly. We often think: whoever profited from some event organized it. But often this is not the case. Political leaders and entire political systems are doing pretty crazy things that lead to their destruction, death, completely not to the results that could have been planned. On the other hand, everything that happens is beneficial to someone. In any social process there must be some beneficiaries. These are not necessarily the forces that have spun this story. Some reformers start reforms, and then, as a result, a civil war breaks out in the country, and some field commanders turn out to be the beneficiaries, and even then not for long. nine0005

In this total disaster, it is very easy to name the victims, but on the other hand, it is difficult, because this list never ends. Indeed, for Russia, not only as a certain political regime, but also as a social organism, this war was launched at the worst possible moment, at a time when it could least afford it – first of all, of course, demographically. When we, before all this trouble, said that a direct collision was not very likely, we also relied on demographic dynamics. Such societies do not fight: aging, with a declining birth rate, with a predominantly elderly female population. It does not look like a vigorous nation, which is built in ranks and marches to conquer someone. nine0005

Hungry and not funny

As we can see, she fights really badly, there are not enough people, we have to take God knows where. This people also does not correspond to the ideals of military prowess, the sweetness of death for the motherland with weapons in their hands cannot somehow be inspired, although we see what efforts are being made for this. Of course, history will answer the question of what happened. So far, we are still wandering in the fog of ongoing events and can only grope for possible answers. Apparently, this happened under the influence of some false calculations, some perfect illusions in the hope of a completely different scenario for the development of events, for a completely different speed of what is happening, for its different results than those that are. nine0005

But if something has been going on for nine months now, it's clear that it's not just one person doing it, there's a lot of people involved. For some reason, they do this, for some reason they prefer obedience to rebellion or non-participation to evasion, although evasion and avoidance, direct emigration is the choice of very many, and all other passive forms of resistance, what Kynev calls the Russian form of protest: any sabotage , imitation, hypocrisy and other eyewash - this is also, apparently, an extremely common phenomenon. We can see this very well by the way mobilization is taking place. But still, the system stands, creaks, but rides, and so far somehow performs its basic functions. This is not yet a question of beneficiaries, because survival is not a benefit. And I would like to look one and a half steps ahead, to whom war is really a mother. After all, there are always those, sometimes even those who did not expect that it would be somehow beneficial for them. nine0005

Such societies are not at war: aging, with declining birth rates, with a predominantly elderly female population

Sergei Medvedev: Did Putin start this process alone or was it a group of people? Apparently, there was no collusion, judging by the meeting of the Security Council on February 22, or everything was played too well.

Ekaterina Shulman: There was a conspiracy, but, apparently, not everyone was warned. It was obviously a group of permanent members of the Security Council who fed each other from their beaks, like a bird feeds its chicks, some chewed-up nonsense that their numerous subordinates brought to them. And in two years of quarantine, they managed to completely convince each other that this is a good idea. This "good idea", apparently, was supposed to help us approach the year 2024 in the victorious position of the king, the leader of the peoples, the gatherer of lands, and then justify both constitutional changes and our own long reign. nine0005

In conversations with some military analysts, I heard the opinion that, in principle, the plan to capture Kyiv at lightning speed could work, that is, it was not insane from an applied, tactical point of view. It could have rolled. Another thing is that then the inevitable political consequences would begin, which began even with the unimpressive scale of success that was achieved: the inability to control the territory where you are not loved and not wanted. But the very capture of the capital, the overthrow of power, the dispersion of command centers could have happened if not ... The madness was of a strategic, but not tactical nature. nine0005 Ekaterina Shulman

Sergey Medvedev: As of December 2022, can we see people who clearly benefit from this?

Ekaterina Shulman: It must be admitted that for the time being there is an advantage for the regime, for the power machine. Isolation successfully prevents any political changes in a direction unfavorable for the regime: in isolation, the hands are untied to a greater extent than outside it. He, according to various estimates, got rid of half a million and up to a million people who could be the yeast of instability. Authoritarian regimes, especially petrocracies, do not need people at all: the fewer people, the more oxygen, they do not need any population, it only hinders them. They need this dream, which they attribute either to Margaret Thatcher or to Madeleine Albright - 16 million to maintain the pipe, and the rest are superfluous. nine0005

Sergei Medvedev: But now it's not a petocracy, but some kind of ideocracy.

Ekaterina Shulman: And how is it different? They sell resources, distribute money among the poorest sections of the population and in a much larger proportion - between their own power apparatus, and they live on this. Venezuelan version.

Isolation successfully prevents any political change to the disadvantage of the regime

Sergey Medvedev: But still, you will agree, a blow has been dealt to the very heart of the petrocracy, the basis of Russian oil and gas exports. The resource state is shooting itself in the foot with this war.

Ekaterina Shulman: A number of sanctions related to hydrocarbon trading have either not yet come into force or have not yet begun to operate in full force. Today is the same, the day after tomorrow will be different. Look at Venezuela, which has been living under these sanctions for some time. There will always be a buyer for fuel, albeit at a discount: if you don’t go there, you can sell it somewhere else. This money is enough to feed the guards and save the poorest from starvation by buying their loyalty. Here is the skeleton of primitive resource authoritarianism. nine0005

Konstantin Gaase: "The elite cannot afford a civil war"

Sergey Medvedev: The first obvious beneficiaries are people who wanted a final freeze, closing the system before the possible volatility of 2024. The war was such a perfect shock freeze.

Authoritarian regimes, especially petrocracies, don't need people at all

Ekaterina Shulman: Events like this prevent political turbulence and some kind of generational change. The change of generations begins, let's say neatly, for objective demographic reasons, and in a natural situation, after some time, dropping out and replacing would lead to political changes even without special revolutions. Apparently, this was felt on an intuitive level. These conversations about what we barely had time to do, if we had waited longer, it would have been too late, I think, reflect precisely this unformulated consciousness. A little more, and power would begin to slip through your fingers, simply because peers, bosses would leave, they would be replaced by a new generation, "a generation of traitors." nine0005

Traitors are even their own children, they are also no good, they do not share our values, cultural, God forgive me, codes. Therefore, they need to bring down a wall on their heads, from under which they will not get out. Here is such an idea, in its madness not devoid of specific rationality. If you go down, who benefits? Probably, it is beneficial for the military-industrial complex, because all the money goes to them. Everything that is in the economy goes to the production of new weapons. How much they are able to cope with this and process these orders, how much money is needed now the way it was needed before, when the entire elite lived on a rotational basis - we earn or rob here, we take it there. And now why? Now you have to leave yourself and your children in this place. nine0005 Dmitry Medvedev during a control check of the production of tanks on the territory of the Uralvagonzavod corporation. October 24, 2022

Sergey Medvedev: How does the elite feel in this situation? It amazes me how people resignedly integrated into the new military order. In fact, there are no large people who jumped off the ship, except for the comical and at the same time tragic departure of Chubais, given his mysterious poisoning. How are these people ready to feel in a further military scenario? nine0005

Ekaterina Shulman: The honest answer is we don't know. This is indeed one of the key plots, which does not lie on the surface. Judging by how people anonymously talk to different media-foreign agents, how they do not anonymously talk to their own contacts, apparently, they have a phrase in their head that you just need to write on the coat of arms of the Russian Federation: "Nothing depends on us." You'll only make things worse for yourself, and you can't change anything. From the lowest to the highest, from beggars to billionaires, from bosses to cleaners, everyone tells themselves the same thing. This is truly amazing! But rationally, as long as the system is intact and capable of rewarding loyalty and punishing disloyalty, staying is more profitable than running away, and even more profitable than protesting. Yes, such regimes do not keep people, but encourage them to leave. But the elites, apparently, are intimidating with something so that they do not scatter. Apparently, this remarkable case of the head of Exportneft - he killed the whole family with an ax - in their circles they tell differently: if you twitch, they will come to you with an ax (apparently, the former top manager of Novatek Sergey Protosenya is meant). nine0005

Traitors are even their own children, they do not share our cultural values, God forgive me, codes

From the very beginning, it was said about top officials, about prominent public leaders, that their resignation is equated with treason: I heard this, if not from them themselves, then from their first assistants. But on the level below, enough people left. I don’t know how valid these calculations are that up to a third of the employees in the Moscow City Hall and its inherent structures disappeared after September 21, but this is a Russian protest in all its glory. If there are a hundred thousand new vacancies, who fills them, who are these beneficiaries? nine0005

Maybe the agro-industrial complex, which has flourished extremely since the sanctions of 2014, will feel good. As well as people and organizations that get abandoned enterprises of Western owners for a pittance.

So far, we see the following: the civil bureaucracy, both central (federal) and regional, turned out to be more effective than the power bureaucracy, than the army, intelligence, and even the propaganda machine. That is, those who were fed the most, who were most proud of, failed at a difficult moment, and those who were considered suspicious in terms of their pro-Western orientation or internal liberalism just "groaned, but held on." For the time being, it is these people who keep some functionality of Russia, its structural skeleton. The regional bureaucracy, the federal bureaucracy, especially the financial and economic authorities, turned out to be the real backbone of the regime. I do not see that these people somehow lick their lips at the sight of opening prospects. nine0005 Vyshgorod (Kyiv region) after a Russian missile attack. November 28, 2022

The next category of possible beneficiaries (and the most talked about) are field commanders, atamans.

Sergei Medvedev: Non-systemic players - relatively speaking, Prigozhin, Kadyrov.

Ekaterina Shulman: People who have their own armies. Here it doesn’t matter whether they are systemic or not systemic, whether they had a position in their previous life, like Kadyrov, or not, like Prigozhin. Now these are people commanding their own battalions. These guys are playing big, they have skin in the game. And I would be careful not to include them in the lists of beneficiaries. Yes, they look like those people who will be able to seize power if something happens, because they have battalions, divisions loyal to them personally, and not to the Russian Federation, which will be blown away by the wind tomorrow as a political entity, but these will remain. nine0005

Elizaveta Osetinskaya: "War and murder cannot be entered into a compromise"

Sergei Medvedev: Can the system now stop the war, admit defeat, or is it already a locomotive that cannot be stopped until it reaches the edge of the abyss?

The elites seem to be intimidating with something so that they do not scatter

Ekaterina Shulman: War is a social process. This is not a natural process, not a natural phenomenon, but what people do. There is nothing impossible for people in their behavior towards other people, people can behave as they please. People do this, and at any moment, if they have such a desire, they can begin to behave in a completely different way. In the same way that a peaceful country can suddenly go to war at the snap of its fingers: badly, unsuccessfully, amazed at itself, but it does what it says, then it does - this is such an eerie law of our sociality. But it also works in the opposite direction. nine0005

We see from polls that the vast majority of respondents support absolutely any decision. A campaign against Kyiv is better known to the authorities, a campaign from Kyiv is more visible to the authorities, to give the Crimea to the authorities is more visible (we do not have direct polls on this matter, because this is equated with treason). It is more or less clear that Russian society is in a state of deep disorder, instability, demoralization and discouragement. I don’t want to say that you can do anything with such people, but you can do a lot of things. To assume that some passionaries will come out and say: no, we want to continue to fight - when they say on TV that there is no need to fight anymore ... Maybe some kind of passionary will come out, but most of them are already in the damp land, and the following will be damp in the ground. nine0005 Russian volunteers on exercises in Rostov. December 2022

Sergey Medvedev: Comrade Stalin's famous toast "To the great Russian people", with whom he really could do anything.

Ekaterina Shulman: I will object: for example, it is not very successful to mobilize him, but it will be excellent to demobilize him. Organized resistance is difficult, but also organized proactive or even the least active loyalty is also not observed. This is our specific social balance. nine0005

One of the most favorite and useful toys for children of any age, both boys and girls - construction sets . Their assortment is very diverse and in our online store you will find designers made of different materials: plastic, wood and metal, of different levels of complexity.

  • Wooden construction sets made of multi-colored parts of different shapes allow you to create models of cars, locomotives, houses, castles and many other toys. Constructors are made of high quality wood, covered with harmless paint and comply with European safety standards. The kit contains everything you need for assembly - connecting parts, tools and illustrated instructions. nine1305
  • Magnetic constructors made of plastic parts of different geometric shapes, colors and sizes, with a magnet inside, are designed to create three-dimensional or flat structures. The elements are connected to each other due to the action of magnetic attraction forces, without the use of any tools. Strong and stable structures are obtained, which can then be easily disassembled and assembled something else according to the scheme or based on your imagination. There are such constructors of different complexity for both preschool children and schoolchildren. nine1305

Metal construction sets - for older children. They will teach how to work according to schemes, use a screwdriver, a key, create structures with their own hands, starting with twisting individual parts, and as a result, get a finished toy.
