Our group of active students is creating an interesting startup.

Our goal is to teach schoolchildren and students 3d modeling and 3d printing. This will work on the basis of our institute as an add. courses. An interesting feature will be such that our students will do practical tasks, and all this will lead to the fact that having the acquired knowledge and skills, they can make a toy for children with cerebral palsy.

My job is to come up with a system of lessons and the very principle of creating toys.

Interestingly, our team talked to a mother who has a child with cerebral palsy. And we were advised to make toys from children's drawings. And the type in this case will pass the maximum magic.

Shitty question. It seems to be. But no matter how. Creating a flat toy is not a particular problem. The real quest for me was to make a puzzle. It's kind of cool when you get a toy from your drawing, but it's even more fun to put it together. Some kind of lightweight Lego. Only unique.

At first, due to my stupid nature, I suffered myself. Type I myself figured out how to make a puzzle drawing. The idea was simple - draw a pattern from the bottom of the model, and then extrude a line with a certain thickness. But I refused this idea, because I will wear out for each unique model to draw a puzzle pattern.

And then the great and mighty YouTube came to the rescue. It turns out that I'm not the only person who collects puzzles.

The first thing I found was this video from Make Anything (https://youtu.be/VdI1NXhAyRo). A similar approach as mine, but still does not fit. + Devon has such a thing that he broke all the pieces of the puzzle. That is, everything seems to be printed at once, but I would like the puzzle to be printed straight in the assembled state. Only after the table has cooled can you pick up each piece. In general, good - but not that. BUT he has a good test that can show the readiness of the printer for such a procedure. Something like when you printed models like Collapsing Sword.

When I watched this video, it dawned on me that you can generate a puzzle pattern and at the slicing stage you can combine it with the main model, just tell the slicer that the pruner is a limiter.

The guess was correct, because I found an article from Uncle Pryusha (https://blog.prusaprinters.org/print-your-own-3d-puzzles_29817/). Didn't even have to reinvent the wheel. I just downloaded their script and compared it with my test model sizes.

But now another dance with tambourines has begun. The funny thing is that I'm a happy owner of UltiSteel 2. And our prints work with chicken (correct me if there are profiles for ultik in slicker, then skin it please :D). + I was sitting on the old version of chickens (4.4). And for a long time I could not figure out how to make the pruner hollow. But then I upgraded to the latest version, and performed the necessary operation in an easy way.

To tell the slicer that the pruner is hollow - select support mode (this model is support) and wall thickness, infill, top/bottom by zero. And that's it.

I can add that I chose the thickness of the secateurs 0.6. Although uncle Pryusha did 0.4, but something did not work out for me. The type of jigsaw pieces is difficult to unstick from each other (at 0.4). It is possible that I have not yet prepared the printer for such delicate work.
