The ZScanner 800 offers five times the resolution and more than double the accuracy of its first-generation 3D scanner, making it suitable for the most demanding applications.ZScanner 800 is ideal for reverse engineering, design, manufacturing, digital mockups and simulations, and its new accuracy makes it suitable for demanding 3D inspection applications. Its resolution and accuracy capture small objects and highly detailed surfaces in the automotive, multimedia, arts, historical preservation and medical markets. The ZScanner 800 is equipped with a third high-definition camera that greatly increases scanning resolution and accuracy within 40m (microns) and detects changes in surface height down to 50m. CSoft Group and Z Corporation announce the launch of the world's most affordable handheld 3D laser scanner, delivering high resolution 3D data and expanding the range of users at an affordable price.

The ZScanner 600 is the latest addition to Z Corporation's rapidly growing family of unique handheld self-positioning scanners that are more portable and easier to use than conventional 3D scanners. Z Corporation scanners accelerate data acquisition for reverse engineering, product development, heritage conservation and more.

The €29,000 ZScanner 600 combines the advantages of up to 0.1mm resolution with 80 micron X and Y accuracy, making it the perfect balance for power users.

Portability benefits

The portability of 3D scanners provides unprecedented ease of use and versatility. Z Corporation's unique handheld 3D scanners eliminate the need for cumbersome mechanical arms, fixed-position tripods, or external mounting devices that make it difficult to access scanned surfaces, such as the interior of a car, which are then nearly impossible to scan. Unlike these bulky mechanisms, the ZScanner 600 fits in a small suitcase.

Z Corporation scanners scan data in a single pass rather than multiple shots from fixed positions, eliminating the need to spend hours post-processing static shots to combine them into a "glued" result. The ZScan software included with the scanner automatically generates an STL file for import into 3D design software or for 3D printing.

To scan an object, the user simply takes the ZScanner and “paints” the object with the projected laser beam. The surface of the scanned object is recorded using the binocular cameras of the ZScanner 600 scanner. The ZScan software generates a surface polygon mesh on a computer screen in real time. With self-positioning and a coordinate system attached to the object, the ZScanner 600 allows the user to move the target object during scanning.
