3D tech fashion hit Cirque Du Soleil at LIGHT nightclub in Las Vegas

(Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino) presented to its guests the new models of Anouk Wipprecht, a well-known fashion techno designer.

As the first nightclub in the world to host Cirque du Soleil with world-class DJs, LIGHT has become famous for its ability to combine cutting-edge technology with captivating aesthetics. That is why Anouk was invited to Cirque du Soleil's performance, she likes to combine electronics with clothing elements.

Anouk added technical innovation and interactivity to her work, and on New Year's Eve, they became a worthy decoration of the Cirque du Soleil performance, immersing the nightclub in the world of technical wonders. Her work featured elements developed in collaboration with Italian architect Niccolò Casas and 3D printing company Materialise.

This is the second collaboration between Anouk Wipprecht, Niccolò Casas and Materialize (the first was The Smoking Dress), in which Anouk and Niccolò continue to look for ways to combine the human body, technology and 3D printing.

The 3D printed elements were laser sintered to form the basis for four independently controllable shoulder pads with high brightness 20W strobe LEDs lighting up the entire structure. By making wireless synchronization part of the animation control system, Anouk and her team (Matt Pinner and Daniel Schatzmayr) developed an independent interface based on special printed circuit boards, using a network adapter connected to a Beagle Bone Linux computer, which is no larger than a credit card. All this has simplified the process of rapid deployment due to minimal energy costs. The TouchOSC app (Beagle Bone runs on Android 4.0) allowed the models to be controlled under the unpredictable conditions of the show's music and rhythms.

Publishing house Nintendo and developers from the Japanese studio PlatinumGames have released their slasher Bayonetta 3, and a separate trailer was presented for the occasion. The project, announced back in 2017, was released on the Nintendo Switch hybrid console.

Bayonetta 3 tells the story of the witch Bayonetta, the new playable character Viola (who is also a witch), and "a whole coven of other Bayonettas" who must save reality from homunculi, a human-made biological weapon.

The authors of Bayonetta 3 intend to surprise gamers with "prohibitively epic battles" , a variety of locations (the streets of Tokyo, the mountains of China and many others) and the company of Bayonetta's three demonic pets (Gomorrah, Malphas and Phantasmaraneus). In the third part, the main character has the “Demon Imitation” skill, which releases the demon imprisoned in her weapon and adds unique tricks to her arsenal. Also, the witch can call on her demonic pets to help.

As of this writing, Bayonetta 3 has an 88 out of 100% rating on Opencritic (65 reviews). Journalists praise the project for lightning-fast and suitable for different styles of play gameplay, the presence of charismatic characters, the incredible scale of the production with an emphasis on entertainment, as well as a variety of modes and mechanics.

But some technical flaws in the release version of the game, frankly outdated models of minor characters and not very convenient control when summoning demon helpers became the main reasons for dissatisfaction.

Many reviewers have come to the conclusion that Bayonetta 3 is one of the most spectacular and stormy slashers of recent years. Here are excerpts from some of the reviews.

Video Games Chronicle: “There is no other action game with such imagination, wit or style. Get ready to explore its insane depths for weeks." .

Eurogamer: “Bayonetta 3 may not be as consistently graceful as its predecessors, but when it's good it's almost divine; Playing as Bayonetta with all of her unlocked toys is more exciting than ever."0122 .

Gamespot: “Bayonetta 3 is like her Las Vegas residency: a luxurious and exciting show, where every act is beautifully staged, every song is great, and the appearance of the guests is sure to delight. It's a fast-paced and joyful adventure that achieves its goals with an abundance of charisma and style." .

Bayonetta 3 is currently only available on Nintendo Switch.
