One of the four great inventions of ancient China, printing is now on the verge of a new era thanks to the latest technology. Artificial intelligence and 3D technologies are driving the evolution of the printing industry in China and keep it up to date, experts say.

"China's printing industry has a long history, and in order to develop the country's traditional industry, more and more innovation is being applied," said Liu Xiaokai, an official from the General Bureau of Printing and Publishing, at the first printing innovation conference held in Beijing in September Industry representatives decided to create an association of "smart" production.
