In this case, I have a very rare JGAURORA A3S printer here, but this is also done for the rest. Another unusual thing about my printer is that it has an external power supply that supplies 24V 8A to the printer itself, I did not want to pick the external power supply. I wanted it to be beautiful :) In general, I did something like this:

Hardware

We take the relay SSR-10 DD, this is a solid state relay with a control of 3-32 volts and a switching of 6-60 volts 10 amperes. We open the printer. In the back of it there is a place for a relay and even at the bottom there is a threaded hole. We fasten it there

Then we take the positive wire from the switch and cut it, in the photo above this wire is already disconnected from the switch and sticks up with the terminal. The main thing is to look in advance how to cut, because the relay has polarity, and the wire is positive! plus will come from the switch. Parallel to this wire, we attach two more wires, this will be a button.

In this photo, I have already attached the wires going to the board, the wires for the button come out here, this was for testing.

We hook the control wires to the printer board, here

This is SERVOS2, bottom row. According to the documentation PIN 5. We need extreme contacts, the left one is the control (+), the right one is the ground (GND). Next, take the button. We solder to the contacts that close when the button is pressed. And just in case, I put heat shrink on an empty contact, since there will be + from the control board in the released state, you never know what.

And now it looks like this from the outside, there was no hole in the printer case. A drill solves this problem :)

We want to turn on the printer, press the button and hold it for 2 seconds. I left the regular switch at the back in case it is necessary to turn off the printer unscheduled, or, let's say, if it is not necessary to turn it on, child protection.

Now let's move on to the software part

Take the Configuration.h file and do the following in it:

Now we take pins_RAMPS.h and do this in it:

#define PS_ON_PIN 5 // old value 12

That's it. We compile and upload. Now the M81 command, turning off the printer, has started working for us. We go into the slicer and add to the print end code:

M109 R45; wait until the temperature of the extruder drops to 45 degrees

M81 ; Turn off the printer

You don't have to write comments :)

Well, to make it look quite nice, we add the shutdown button to the screen. We take the firmware for MKS28 in the mks_config.txt file, find the 'More' menu buttons and turn one of them off, I have it

>moreitem_button6_cmd:M81;

And do not forget to copy the bmp_manual_off.bin file in the mks_pic folder to the bmp_custom6.bin file, just overwrite it. We update the screen firmware and voila:

Now you can still turn off the printer with the button on the screen.
