3D printed christmas cookie cutters
Weekly Roundup: Ten 3D Printable Christmas Cookie Cutters - 3DPrint.com
The day after Thanksgiving, while most people are sleeping off turkey comas or fighting unruly crowds for deals on televisions, is what I call Christmas cookie day. Every Cookie Friday, as I call it, I go through my bin of cookie cutters and decide on my theme for the year and make up a list of people who I’ll be sending cookies to for the holidays. Today is essentially the start of the grueling week-long process of cutting, baking, decorating and packaging up hundreds of holiday cookies. I don’t have many holiday traditions, but this one has stuck with me since my sister and I first started doing it when we were young adults with no income looking for inexpensive gifts.
To kick off the next few weeks of holiday-themed columns it seemed fitting to look for the best 3D printable cookie cutters that I could find. I turns out that I had plenty of amazing cookie cutter options to choose from. Cookie cutters are an ideal 3D printable object, they are a size that almost every desktop 3D printer can accommodate, they often don’t need any support material and you can make them in just about any shape that you can think of. Somehow I managed to whittle this list down to just ten.
Here are Ten 3D Printable Christmas Cookie Cutters:
CHRISTMAS COOKIE CUTTERS

MULTI-DESIGN COOKIE CUTTER ROLLER
Multi-Design Christmas Cookie-cutter by Grant Gabrielson
Found on: MyMiniFactory
Cost: Free
If you want to make as many Christmas cookies as possible as quickly as possible then this cool 3D printable gizmo may be just what the lazy doctor ordered. The roller has three different cookie designs that can be rolled over the flattened cookie dough, almost like a rolling pin. It will quickly cut all three different cookie designs in an even line, shaving precious seconds off of your cookie prep time.
3D CHRISTMAS COOKIES

Found on: Thingiverse
Cost: Free
If you really want to impress people with your Christmas cookie game this year, then step it up with these cool three-dimensional cookie cutters. Just cut out all of the assorted cookie parts and then assemble with a bit of icing to hold everything together. The set includes reindeer, Santa’s sleigh, a Christmas tree, a star and a snowflake.
CHRISTMAS MOOSE
Moose Cookie Cutter by Sensei
Found on: Thingiverse
Cost: Free
I don’t think there is a Christmas Moose, but there really should be. I don’t know why, but moose cookies just sound really Christmassy. I have already decided to hand out moose cookies this year, and strongly encourage you all to join me. If someone can make the Christmas Pickle a thing, then I can make the Christmas Moose a thing.
SNOWFLAKE COOKIES
Snowflake Cookie Cutters by Robert Chandler
Found on: MyMiniFactory
Cost: Free
There are a bunch of Snowflake cookie cutters available but I think this set of four is probably the best looking of the bunch. I’m not sure how they would bake up considering the sharpness of the points on them, but I’m going to give it a shot. These are also extremely easy to print, with the smaller snowflake design printing right inside of the larger one.
#3DBENCHY COOKIE CUTTER
#3DBenchy Cookie-Cutter by CreativeTools
Found on: Pinshape
Cost: Free
The #3DBenchy model is, at this point, almost as ubiquitous to 3D printing as that Yoda head model was two years ago. It’s not only a great way to test just about every aspect of your 3D printer’s ability to print overhangs and tricky cut outs, but it’s also a fun model to print. Thankfully the cookie version won’t be quite as taxing to make, but it may put you sweet tooth through its paces.
3D MINI GINGERBREAD DIPPING COOKIE
Gingerbread Tea house Cookie-Cutter by Matthias Peschek
Found on: MyMiniFactory
Cost: Free
Nothing says Christmas quite as much as gingerbread houses, and this cookie cutter allows you to cut out a mini version that will hook on the side of your cup. You can dip it in your tea or hot cocoa, or just snack on it while you’re waiting for your drink to cool. The three parts are held together with some icing, and the designer of the cookie cutter even included a great recipe perfect for holding the mini houses together.
CHRISTMAS TRAIN SET COOKIES
Train Set (Cookie Cutters) by DanielNoree
Found on: Pinshape
Cost: Free
There have been toy trains almost as long as there have been actual trains, and train sets have long been linked to the holidays. If you don’t have room to set up that train set around your tree this year, or live in Christmas decoration limbo aka owning cats, then baking a train set might be a great alternative. This set of train cookie cutters includes four different designs and won’t need any support material so they are super easy to print.
ASSORTED TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COOKIES
Gingerbread, Candy Cane, Christmas Sock, Santa Claus, & Rudolph the Reindeer by OogiMe
Found on: Thingiverse
Cost: Free
If you want some really great looking traditional cookie cutter designs, then the designer of these has you covered. They’ve made a ton of really great cookie cutters for every holiday imaginable, and have a bunch of Christmas designs suitable for any occasion. Aside from the designs that I listed above, there are also Christmas Bells, Mistletoe, Christmas Tree, Snowman and two different designs that look like Christmas Ball Ornaments.
SNOWFLAKE COFFEE TEMPLATE
Snowflake – Christmas Coffee Decoration Template by OogiMe
Found on: Thingiverse
Cost: Free
After all of your holiday guests have gone home, the presents have been thoroughly examined and the mess has been cleaned up, what could be better than settling down with a nice cup of coffee or hot cocoa? Using this cool template to put a design on top of your coffee, just like they do at the coffee shop that you love to visit of course. You can put this snowflake design on top of anything using cocoa powder, powdered sugar or even colored sprinkles.
That’s it for this time, thanks as always for reading. I’m off to start my epic cookie baking marathon. Wish me luck and I’ll see you next week. I would love to see any holiday cookies that you made using 3D printed cookie cutters, or any holiday 3D printing projects that you’re working on. Feel free to email me or send me a Tweet @SJGrunewald and say hi!
