Welcome to the Color World!
Creality successfully established itself in the market of budget 3d printers by releasing the Ender-3 printer and its subsequent modifications in 2018. The success of the company inspired competitors to use similar solutions in their designs, with an emphasis on reducing the cost of the product. Today we have a direct competitor of Creality Ender-3 V2 - Voxelab Aquila X2 on review. Can such a budget solution meet today's print quality standards? Or is there no point in saving? We will answer these questions in our review! nine0003

VOXELAB, a subsidiary of the manufacturer of additive Flashforge systems, launched an updated version of the updated version . The Aquila S2 version is equipped with a direct extruder with a maximum hot end temperature of 300°C. nine0003
Aquila S2 is a further development of Aquila's line of budget FDM/FFF 3D printers. The original system with 32-bit electronics, quiet drivers and a build area of 220x220x250 mm entered the market this summer as a competitor to Creality's best-selling Ender-3 3D printer. During this time, Voxelab managed to release two more options - Aquila C2 and Aquila X2. The first is positioned as a "super budget" and is equipped with a cheaper screen. The X2 variant was equipped with a filament sensor and returned the original 4.3-inch color screen with an encoder, but changed the display orientation to vertical. In general, there are no significant differences between these options. nine0003
The new version, designated S2, features a direct-fed extruder instead of Bowden and improved airflow. At the same time, the maximum temperature of the hotend increased to 300°C instead of 250°C. The upgrade is aimed at improving the reliability and stability of 3D printing, especially when working with flexible filaments. The increased extrusion temperature also makes it possible to 3D print more refractory plastics such as polycarbonate. To work with composite materials, such as carbon-filled polyamide, brass nozzles can be changed to more wear-resistant steel ones. nine0003
Another difference from previous versions is the work surface. Here, instead of glass with silicon carbide, a flexible table with magnetic mounts and a polyimide adhesive coating is used.
