The Objet500 Connex3 3D Printer supports a unique printing technology that uses three base materials to produce models.
Rigid, flexible, transparent colored materials, as well as composite materials can be used as materials. All these materials can be combined with each other in one print cycle.
This feature makes it possible to obtain complex assemblies already at the output of the printer. Additional assembly or painting is no longer required, greatly saving time. This helps product manufacturers validate designs and make the right decisions ahead of production and bring products to market faster.

Combination of three primary colors of materials to create a spectrum of vibrant colors.
Similar to inkjet printing on a conventional 2D inkjet printer, the new printer can produce a multi-color image by combining three different color materials (CMY).
Vero Cyan, Vero Magenta and Vero Yellow have already been developed for this purpose and are combined in a print cycle to create hundreds of vibrant colors. These color materials are added to PolyJet's wide range of photopolymers, including composites, rigid, rubbery, clear, and high temperature materials to mimic standard and high temperature engineering plastics.
In the near future, Stratasys intends to release six palettes of colored Tango rubber-like materials from opaque to transparent with different mechanical properties for the mechanical engineering, FMCG and sports markets.
