When we did not have our own printer, we also ordered some things and the quality was different, but always terrible. Troubleshooting

We have had a Wanghao 3D printer for more than a year. I'll tell you what problems we encountered:

  • Deformation of the finished or almost finished figure . It is very disappointing to see that a model that was printed for many hours suddenly squinted. All down the drain.   • Thread breakage . Possible reason - low-quality plastic.
  • Cannot print small parts . Too small models with delicate details are beyond his power. For example, he printed a boat a couple of centimeters long, and started winding plastic on the sails.

Sound

I heard they are very noisy. But I thought it would be a knock, buzz or some other "technical" noise. But these sounds are more like Tetris. Moreover, the melody depends on the printed part. There are melodic ones, and there are rather shrill ones. Seems like nonsense? Of course, if it lasted 15 minutes. But he can print complex models all night long. Therefore, some take it out to the balcony or somewhere else. And I'm used to these sounds and sleep.

Finished products

They don't come out perfect and ready to be painted, like the assembly line toys that are sold in stores. They have supports that need to be torn off and some burrs that will need to be smoothed out.

Supports do not always detach and leave no traces behind. But in most cases, this is a very exciting process, which resembles the division of a chocolate bar into pieces with an appetizing crunch.
