See it live

A robust collection of true 3D vision tools

The In-Sight 3D-L4000 allows users to place vision tools directly on a true 3D image of the part, unlike typical 3D systems which transform its 3D images into a representational 2D height map for basic tool processing. True 3D inspections increase the accuracy of results and expands the types of inspections that can be performed. Better yet, because inspections are in 3D, users can immediately experience how the vision tools operate on the actual part or component.

The 3D-L4000 includes all the traditional 3D measurement tools users expect such as plane and height finding. However, it also comes with a full suite of 3D vision tools, designed from the ground up to leverage inspections in a true 3D space. Further, these vision tools were created with the simplicity of 2D in mind making them more accessible to the user.

In-Sight spreadsheet guides easy application development

The intuitive In-Sight spreadsheet interface quickly and easily sets up and runs 3D applications without the need for programming. It simplifies application development and streamlines factory integration with a full I/O and communications function set. The In-Sight 3D-L4000 provides the capability to combine 2D and 3D vision tools in a single job to solve a wider variety of applications.

Cognex DMR 262Q-ALC Unique Stream Reader

The Cognex DMR 262Q-ALC streaming reader is a unique device that was specially designed for the Russian Alcoholic Beverage Market (EGAIS). Identification of alcoholic beverages, as well as alcohol-containing products, occurs by reading the code that is on the excise tax and the bottle itself.

The work of the stationary industrial barcode scanner for EGAIS Cognex DataMan 262Q-ALC, like the work of all other Cognex scanners, is based on image analysis. DataMan scanners offer unparalleled performance, flexibility and ease of use in reading 1D linear barcodes, 2D matrix codes, and Direct Part Marking (DPM) codes. The Q series models feature high performance in reading 1D and 2D codes on fast moving objects and include 1DMax and ID Quick™ technologies.

DataMan 262Q-ALC series fixed barcode readers achieve the highest possible reading speeds thanks to a high-speed dual-core processor using the latest Cognex algorithms. 1DMax™ algorithms with Hotbars II™ and 2Dmax® and PowerGrid™ technology decode corrupted or poorly printed 1D and 2D codes regardless of code quality, printing method or surface. They can even read 2D codes with no visible outer borders or unreadable areas. Scanners can be mounted straight or at an angle, there is also the possibility of mounting in a horizontal and vertical position. Cognex's modular technology makes it easy to read low-resolution and long-distance codes by selecting the right accessories to ensure the best possible image of any code.

Cognex DataMan 262Q-ALC Reader Specifications

43.1 x 35.8 x 49.3 mm (angled housing version)
Degree of protection IP-65

* 16mm lens - Compared to standard 6.2mm lenses, it can read smaller codes and codes that are at a greater working distance.

** Fluid Lens Technology - Fluid lens allows auto focus to be adjusted without the use of moving parts.

*** High Power Integrated Illumination (HPIL) - Four powerful red LEDs direct more light onto the code for a better image. This feature is especially important for reading codes over long distances and high speed systems.

**** Half polarized front cover - 2 polarized and 2 non-polarized LEDs can be adapted for additional lighting depending on the application. Polarized LEDs are ideal for shiny, mirror-like surfaces, while non-polarized LEDs are suitable for long distance reading and high speed systems. Fully polarized and non-polarized front covers are also available and easily replaceable.

The Cognex DMR 262Q-ALC reader is used both at the verification stage when reading the PFD417 code and DataMatrix temporary code from a non-orientated bottle, and when reading a shipping label from a multipack. After processing the received data, the reader submits a report in the specified format, which is provided by the EGAIS system.

The integrated blot accounting system for the production of alcoholic beverages is based on Cognex high-tech scanners using the principle of image analysis - DataMan 262Q-ALC, DataMan 363X and DataMan8050:

Equipment:

  • Cognex DataMan 262Q-ALC stationary scanners (8 pcs.) for reading PDF417 or DataMatrix with FSM/tax stamp from non-orientated bottle
  • Stationary scanner Cognex DataMan 262Q-ALC for reading the temporary code (DataMatrix) from the bottle cap during the verification step
  • Cognex DataMan 363X Stationary Scanner for Bulk Reading of Time Codes (DataMatrix) from Caps at Packing Step
  • Cognex DataMan 262Q-ALC Stationary Scanner for reading shipping label code on multipacks
  • Cognex DataMan 8050 handheld scanner for reading the shipping label code from a pallet to send data to EGAIS
