How to make a power bank to charge a Mavic 2 quadcopter

We want to share with you information on how to make a power bank to charge a quadcopter Mavic 2 for 10USD (excluding the cost of 3D printing)

The quadcopter battery is charged when voltage is applied to it in the range of 17-17. 6V. Such a voltage can be obtained from any modern QuickCharge power bank by increasing the voltage from 12V. True, this solution is not very effective, so we used the modern Xiaomi Power Bank 3 20000MAh Pro as a power source. This power bank is capable of delivering current with a power of 2A at a voltage of 20V according to the PowerDelivery standard. The Xiaomi power bank is universal and most likely you already have one at home, as well as a USB Type-C cable to it. Well, if not, then you obviously will not be prevented from acquiring them. Such a power bank can simultaneously charge your remote control, phone and drone battery. Isn't it very convenient?

To assemble the charger we need:

XL4015 DC-DC StepDown Converter with Current Limiting Function
Mavic 2 battery cable

Preparation:

There are many PD triggers on the market. This is the best model for us. Firstly, it is set to 20V by default, and secondly, it does not have any buttons and switches, and therefore you cannot accidentally change the voltage. The trigger turns on automatically, you just need to plug the cable into it. The trigger is very compact and can be conveniently hidden in a heat shrink tube. In my case, I needed to solder 2 wires to the trigger, but there is a similar model on the market with screw connectors.

The trigger is our most expensive purchase. Most likely, in the future its price will decrease, but while it is new on the market, we have such an inflated price.

DC-DC StepDown converter must be set to a voltage of 17.6 volts (most likely, the voltage will drop a little during operation, so we use the maximum voltage allowed for the battery). The current strength must be limited to 1.9A. If the current strength exceeds 2A, then the bank will simply reboot. The output of the USB port is protected against overload.
from the battery wire, you just need to cut off the connectors and then screw the bare ends to the DC converter.
in order to isolate the structure and give the power bank a neat look, it is necessary to print a small case on a 3D printer and place the converter in it.
