How can I reduce the cost of my 3D prints?

Once these have been decided, an easy way to further cut costs is to reduce the amount of material used. This can be done by decreasing the size of your model, hollowing it out, and eliminating the need for support structures.

The American company Amazon has opened a new office in Seattle. And those employees who will work in it can only be envied. The building was named "Spheres". Let's take a look at it and tell you what makes it special.

The new office of the world's largest online retailer Amazon in Seattle was designed and built over the course of seven years, according to The Verge. Its name - "Spheres" - it was not accidental. In the business part of Seattle, three glass domes have "grown", the height of the largest of which is 27 meters.

A real rainforest will greet Amazon employees inside the new office. 40 thousand plants from 30 countries around the world are planted here. For example, tropical alocasia, platicerium of the fern family and a special variety of begonia growing in northern Vietnam. In one of the areas, designers designed a 5-story vertical garden, the cascades of which are fixed on a special grid. And the meeting rooms were called "bird's nests".

There is a special microclimate inside the office. Temperature will be maintained at 22 degrees and humidity at 60%. In addition, the ventilation system will create a natural breeze. True, Bloomberg noted that the average level of humidity in offices is 30%. So employees can sweat and fog glasses.

There are four levels inside the spheres, you can move between them by stairs. At the highest point of the office there is a recreation area for employees, where among the plants you can lie down in a wooden deck chair. However, it will not work for a long time to break away from work. The building will have a special system of identification badges that will allow tracking the movement of employees inside the "spheres".

Arguably the main "object" of the new Amazon space is a tree named Ruby. Initially, the designers planned to plant the plant next to the suspension bridge and wait for it to grow. But this option did not suit the head of the company, Jeff Bezos. The solution came up with the landscape designers of the project. On one of the farms in Southern California, a 16-meter tree of the ficus family, Ficus rubiginosa, was found, planted back in 1969. The plant weighing over 16,000 kg was transported to Seattle, and its transportation and planting inside the sphere was called one of the most difficult tasks of the project.
