3D Designing

Designing is the first and most important step towards 3D printing. We design all sorts of models such as mechanical parts, architecture related, medical tools etc.

In the first phase we understand the preferences and requirements of clients before beginning the project. Next these designs are created by our team using various 3d modelling software and techniques depending on the structure of your model to enhance its visualization. We can send you these designs in your specified 3D file format so you can export it for some other project or print it.

We stay in touch with our clients throughout the entire process of designing so your model turns out exactly the way you imagined it to be.

3D Scanning

With our 3D scanning service we can capture the shape (face, object or body of subject) and color data of your object which we further process in 3D modelling software to obtain a solid and flawless design of your model.

The scan breadth of our scanner is 203mm x 203mm.

We use Laser Triangulation 3D scanning technology as shown in the image which projects a laser beam on the surface of your object placed on the bed of scanner and measures the deformation of the laser ray. The result is a 3D file which can be saved, edited or even printed.

Cleaning Up 3D Scan

After scanning your object, we start with the editing and fixing of the model. The scanned object is imported in a 3D modelling software to fix its orientation and the parts that didn’t scan well. As shown in the image, we analyze each and every edge of the object in wireframe modifier to ensure it was scanned correctly.

Next we add detailing to the object in sculpt mode to smooth out any jagged areas.

Finally the new mesh is exported from modelling software into a variety of formats (depending upon your specifications) and mailed to you.

3D Print Your Models

Use Our Printer

You can send us your 3D files to print on one of our printers in your specified filament material. We’ll take care of everything to ensure nothing goes wrong during this entire process.

After receiving your file, we start with the slicing of your model. The slicer divides the model as a stack of flat layers as shown in the image. Next we focus on the appropriate slicer setting such as different densities of infill, supports and rafts for your model.

All these settings together with some specific printer commands such as extruder or bed temperature are finally converted to G-code and transferred to the printer for printing. We’ll send you the printed model through courier service at your given address.

Choosing Filament For Printing.

Your choice of filament is very important. We have a wide range of filaments available which you can order or specify while ordering for a print.The most common 3D printer filament diameter is 1.75mm. We use PLA, ABS and PETG filaments for printing. In PLA, wood, gold, red, black, white, glow in dark blue and green colors are available. Whereas for PETG, all colors are in stock.

PLA filament is an easy to use and pleasing material making it ideal for a wide range of applications such as printing house models, decorative models etc. In short if your project requires an exact and exquisite look, you should probably go for PLA.

On the other hand PETG filament has the reputation of combining the functionality of ABS (stronger, temperature resistant, more durable) and reliability of PLA in one material. It is used to make water bottles. food packaging and countless other common plastic items.

Edit And Repair Files.

3D models sometimes contain errors which will result in incorrect slicing. After receiving your file we analyze it to look for errors before slicing.

To create a solid model ready for 3D printing, we fix individual markers as shown in this image of groot. After achieving a solid model, we adjust the accuracy and mesh density to better match the original model.

Finally the model is exported as stl, sliced and is ready for printing.

Finishing 3D Prints.

Finishing is the post-printing process of smoothing the surface of a printed object.

After the object is printed, we start with its finishing. First the support material if any is removed and then begins the sanding process. With the help of different grit sandpapers (80, 120 and 240 grit), the surface of printed object becomes smooth and is redefined creating a fairly uniform surface.

The print is then inspected under good lighting and missed spots are cleaned with sandpaper again. After this we start with wet sanding to achieve a completely blemish free surface. With perfect sanding, the model should feel like glass. We also polish the prints with a soft cotton cloth by applying a small amount of liquid polish.

The object is then painted, if required and delivered at your given address.
