Good day to all! Literally at the last minute, I jump into the car of the 'My 3D Printer' contest. In the nomination 'My works'.
It all started with the fact that the system unit completely ceased to please. An ordinary black box was first removed from the table under the table and then generally moved behind the table. But anyway, it somehow itched in some parts of the body and I decided not to bother buying a new one, knowing full well that modding was expensive and there was no desire to change black soap for a white awl.
It was then that the idea was born to make some kind of modding on our own. But in the process of designing various decorations for this iron monster, I realized that all this is nonsense. It is necessary to saw in general a new case. And it started!
A certain concept was developed. Based on which I design. Now the system unit consists of two blocks. at the top there will be a power supply at the bottom, a mother and a screw.
As can be seen from the photos, part of the parts have already begun to be printed. In general, I try to finish the project by the new year, but everything depends on the limited free time.
In addition, after printing the first details, and I printed with 0.5 caliber and 0.3 layer at a decent speed, it became clear that the process needed to be changed. So we will improve the quality, and we will have to make adjustments to the interfaces of the parts, since the plastic shrinks a little differently on large parts.
