Articulating Dual Extrusion System

The LulzBot TAZ Pro industrial-grade 3D printer exhibits an articulated dual extrusion system. Printing with multiple materials can be difficult, but the TAZ Pro's intuitive hotend allows for clean, accurate printing. While one hotend is in use, the other lifts up, creating a clear path for the other hotend/nozzle to lay materials down smoothly. Any residue that may be left on the nozzle that isn't in use is completely out of the way, essentially eliminating any potential color or material contamination.

Print with Multiple Materials Accurately

The LulzBot TAZ Pro professional 3D printer arrives stock with two industry approved E3D Titan Aero hotends and hardened steel nozzles. With the ability to reach higher temperatures, the TAZ Pro 3D printer can print with a wide variety of materials. Any complex model with intricate geometries can be successfully printed on the TAZ Pro using materials like water-soluble PVA support materials, Nylons, or even advanced composites like carbon fiber-infused NylonX and glass fiber-infused NylonG. The well-known manufacturer of 3D printers Aleph Objects, who has received many prestigious awards, has released an update to the line - an open source industrial 3D printer LulzBot TAZ Pro. "TAZ Pro is the first true dual-extruder multi-material 3D printer at an affordable price."

This version has been specially designed for functional prototypes, on-demand parts and auxiliary components. The novelty boasts an increased build volume - 280x280x285 mm. The independent vertical lift of the E3D extruder with 360-degree cooling of the parts gives the printer the ability to use two materials. The result is clean transitions so users can print from unique types of materials such as high-strength composites and solvent-based materials.

In order to print high temperature composites, Aleph Objects built the printer with hardened steel components. The company has also added a sensor to alert the user when more filament is needed. Other printer features include a 5-inch color touchscreen display, automatic X/Y/Z offset calibration, self-leveling features, nozzle wipe, and a belt-driven Z-axis for improved precision and part quality.

TAZ Pro pre-order price is 49$50 with expected deliveries as early as the end of April.
