Lemarsharan Casket (English Lemarchand's Box ) - type which develop the events of a series of books by Clive Barker and their adaptations of Hellraiser. Being folded in a certain way, such a box opens the gates to another dimension (presumably to hell). The most famous of these caskets is " Lament Configuration "(Eng. The new generation may not have read and/or watched this creation by Clive Barker. There was a sequel to the first film, but it turned out to be so-so and did not attract attention.

I watched the film as a young man, and although I'm not a fan of horror films, Hellraiser made a very strong impression on me (for two days I was afraid to sleep without electricity :) ).

The puzzle from the film is a stylish and entertaining contraption, and as soon as I saw its model on ThingiVerse, I immediately got excited to print it for my collection.

The purely printed part will not be of particular interest to respected visitors to the site 3DToday.ru - the patterns for the sides of the puzzle cube are printed without any difficulties. Only one subtlety - for printing, the part was turned over 180 degrees so that the front part was adjacent to the table - this turns out to be smoother and the patterns almost do not give out their 3D printed essence.

A detail that may be of interest is how the cube for the base of the puzzle is made. The author of the model took a wooden cube and covered it with stain; others who printed the model used a plastic cube - but this is less like the original. I had the remnants of dark laywood - I printed a half-millimeter “veneer” from them and glued the sides of the PLA cube with it - it turned out “like a tree”, and no carpentry work was required :) The veneer was glued onto the cube with dichloromethane and dried under pressure.

Patterns were painted with acrylic metallic (which pretended to be gold but came out beautifully copper). The patterns were glued to the cube "Moment", again with drying under pressure.

The result is a nice addition to the collectible Pinhead figurine. Cenobites cannot be called from hell with this version of the puzzle, but this is for the best - because these guys are serious and harsh ...
