3Dtoday is cooler than Roskosmos. Why? We explain: while Rogozin is repainting rockets in Khokhloma, we decided to launch a competition for 3D modeling and 3D printing of flying bears. In the most direct sense. Traditional values are at stake, and the prize pool is a brand new Flyingbear Ghost 5 3D printer.
Yes, this competition is going to be quite challenging, as participants will need to not only print but also model a flying bear. Since the task is complex, there will be nothing to worry about if you decide to work in a team.
For example, if you have a 3D printer but don't know how to model, join forces with a designer/constructor/modeller, or vice versa. If anything, the prize fund can be divided, because it will include not only a 3D printer and filaments, but also licenses for Compass-3D Home. Tons of admiration and respect from the community in general and the administration in particular - it goes without saying.
Task
Model and print a flying bear. The task is purely creative: let your imagination run wild and imagine a flying bear the way you actually imagine it. Creativity and even absurdism are welcome in every possible way: let him grow wings, put on a rocket pack, sit at the helm of an airplane, or even put on a Superman uniform and go save humanity from honey - you decide. The more fun, beautiful and perky, the better. Details in the form of illustrations of the printing and design process, as well as a story about the motivation for choosing an image and the work done, are a definite plus.
If you wish, you can add a video, but first of all 9 will be evaluated0200 Mandatory text versions with illustrations . At least in a nutshell, but tell us - just pictures will not be accepted.

Due to numerous requests, we decided to correct the task. Since not everyone who wants to participate has access to 3D printers, 3D printing of models is no longer a requirement for . To participate, you just need to simulate a flying bear and show the results. However, the additional, now optional steps of 3D printing the model and painting will earn extra points in the eyes of the jury.
Winners and prize fund
Three sponsors contributed to the prize fund at once, for which many thanks to them: Filamentarno! will supply the winners with branded consumables, Ascon will award licenses for the Compass-3D Home computer-aided design system, and the main prize will be provided by Flyingbear, a manufacturer of 3D printers.
Specifically, we are talking about Flyingbear Ghost 5 Desktop FDM 3D Printer — a bestseller with a build area of 255x210x210 mm, an all-metal frame, a dual drive BMG extruder, a 32-bit board and quiet TMC2208 drivers, a heated stage, a touch display, a filament sensor and memory function in case of sudden power failure.

The record holder for likes will receive two reels from Filamentarno! and a license for Compass-3D Home from Ascon.
Timing
The competition will last exactly one month, works are accepted until December 12 inclusive.
To participate, simply publish a post with your work in the "Creativity" section and, which is very important, when posting, do not forget to add #flying bear to the tag field.
