Stereolithography (SL) is one of the most precise layer-by-layer synthesis technologies based on the layer-by-layer curing of a liquid photopolymer resin by an ultraviolet laser beam.

SL printer software prepares the 3D model for growing, cuts it into layers, according to the thickness parameters set by the machine operator. Next, the UV laser draws the current section of the model on the surface of the liquid photopolymer resin. In places where the UV laser spot comes into contact with the resin, the resin is instantly photo-cured. After the current layer has been completely drawn, the build platform is lowered by an amount equal to the depth of one layer, the cleaning blade levels the surface of the resin, preparing it for the next curing-drawing, this process is repeated for each layer of the part to be grown, until the specified 3D the model will not be built. After the build process is completed, the model is removed from the build platform and washed in a bath of alcohol to remove resin residue and the 3D model is ready for use. nine0023
