There are 3D printers of all kinds, FDM / fast / high res , each fit for one particular group: hobbists, makers, engineers, jewelers...however there is still no printer thought out for Artists. We want our printer to fit their needs: Large build size, High Resolution, Fast, and Stable.

Finally we have come up with a solution:

 SLA TOP DOWN PRINTING

Without gravity and the peeling force common in bottom up printers, there will be no failure because of detachment or breakage in the print itself. With Milkshake3D top down printing, the build panel will move down the resin tank at a steady rate avoiding mishaps.

 Integrating industrial level 3D printer into your studio.

 

 For every print layer, the wiper system maintains always the smoothest surface and refill resin for print area, astonishing result especially for large print surface.

With DLP projection technology, printing time depends on model's height. With our exclusively large build platform, batch print as many items as you like all at once.

Just a click to switch printing size from 150um to 50um. Projector will lift automatically to its target position, slightly manual focusing the calibration image, its ready to print.

Milkshake3D is a stand alone wi-fi 3D printing hub. You don’t need a workstation bundled with it. It means that everyone in your studio could easily upload models for printing, control the printer or check out printing status.

Resin has all different properties and exposure time. We have fully tested with FunToDo's resin and have integrated the best print settings for you. Simply upload your model, choose your material and one click to go. Of course, you could also make your own setting as save to presets.

Milkshake3D is created by Orbi Lab, a group of 3D artists and engineers passionate and with years of experiences in creatives, productions and electronic development. As 3D artists ourselves, there is nothing more exciting than seeing your own creations come alive in reality. For over a year of development, we designed and built the machine from our own user perspective and today, we are glad to have it published for everyone.

 

  

 

 

 

--- Resin ---

Indeed, we have a large tank. But we took advantage of resins' floating properties. You may use glycerine(or saline water) to fill up the tank, leaving just 1cm to 2cm for printing resin, which means only One litre of resins needed as a base.    

- Will it affect the print quality?  

We have been using this system for all of our prints and you can see how high standard they are. Of course, if you looking for a production standard, you may use full tank of resins.  

 - Does it goes well for castable resin too?  

Yes, we print castable ring with glycerine too and it doesn't have any affect. Keeps a thick enough resin layer.

We offer a one year hardware warranty(Exclude DLP lightbulb). If unfortunately you have any parts defected, we will ship you the parts to replace.
