Hello fellow 3D printers and those who empathize with them.

A little over 2 years ago I wrote an article about the work of the PICASO 3D service: http://3dtoday.ru/blogs/a-makcim/review-service-picaso-3d-uncensored/. In it, I answered the question of how we work and where we are going.

Since then, the goal has taken on a more tangible form: "Make it so that printers never come to the service, and users never contact support." nine0006

I follow 3DToday news. And of course, a series of empenoso articles did not pass by, for which special thanks to the author (for a long time we have not been so sincerely remembered). Few people manage to keep the audience of the portal in anticipation of something new and incendiary for so long. Imagine what it would be like if this series of articles were devoted to a success story, and how did the author do it well? But no one reads such articles, and no one is interested in them.

It is much more interesting to read how a poor user paid money to the evil empire, and she paid him .... THROWN! Everyone understands who to sympathize with, who is to blame and why it all happened. nine0006

The black and white world is always clear.

It was also interesting for us to read about ourselves. It's really exciting!

So, what we have (only the facts):

  • the author pre-ordered the printer at a special price, made an advance payment for it and knew that he had to wait
  • the shipment occurred later than the promised time, we warned in writing about the delay in shipment. Naturally, everyone who was not satisfied with this could return the prepayment
  • the author received the printer and immediately encountered a malfunction
  • the printer was sent for service
  • the printer was in service for a very long time
  • in the form of compensation for waiting for the printer came to an agreement with the author to extend the warranty period for his printer to 5 years

Reasons that do not justify our company, but explain what is happening look trite. Any new product launch is subject to possible delays due to supply disruptions. Exactly this happened. We were promised one deadline, but in the end we received the components with a huge delay. This does not justify us in any way and should not be a problem for customers. We understand this very well. After this incident, we revised the logistics algorithms and plan to release new products, taking into account possible delays from suppliers. nine0006

The reason for a long stay in the service is generally a separate issue. The dates on which the printer was in our service coincided with the relocation of our office, and for about three weeks the service could not physically work. This is of course our fault. All customers whose printers were in our service at that moment formed a “traffic jam”, which we cleared for another three weeks. We understood the anger of customers and always tried to solve this problem in favor of the customer. The solutions were very different, we offered replacement printers (if available), we printed customer orders on our printers in the office and handed over the printed models to customers. The situation was very unpleasant. But we did it. A huge thank you to everyone who stepped into our position. nine0006

But as they say, the system is characterized not by an error, but by a reaction to an error. What we have done to prevent such situations from happening again:

  • strengthened the customer support department
  • introduced double 100% quality control of products
  • changed the algorithms for planning the launch of new products

There is no limit to perfection and we do everything for our customers.
