SLA: Stereolithography
SLA: Stereolithography or SLA 3D Printing produces smooth surfaces and offers excellent detail. Printed objects have the feel of injection molded parts. SLA is popular for prototyping, manufacturing in single and small batches and producing dental/medical models and prosthetics.
DLP, or digital light processing, is a form of SLA that offers quicker printing but less resolution. The surface of DLP-printed parts is not as smooth.
SLA/DLP parts are strong, resistant to water. Additional properties depend on the material, usually resin, that is used. Because SLA printers and materials are expensive, print costs can be higher.

SLS: Selective laser sintering
SLS: Selective laser sintering or SLS 3D Printing is direct digital manufacturing with tremendous accuracy. It is used in rapid prototyping, small-batch manufacturing and custom tool production. It is used with sand, rubber, metal, glass and polymers including nylon and polystyrene.
SLS is used to manufacture functional and non-functional parts. Complexity is not a problem. Some parts require machining after printing to improve the surface. Longer lead times of several days are often required with SLS.

Jetting or PolyJet: PolyJet material printing is used when dimensional precision are smooth surfaces are demanded. It offers an excellent range of plastic photopolymer options and is used for concept models, rapid prototyping, small-batch manufacturing, and producing jigs, fixtures and tools. How to Print
Send or bring us your STL file(s) in one of the following ways:
- Fill out the “Request a Print” form
- Bring your files to a consultant in the Industrial Science Building, room 119
We will contact you within four to five days to let you know that your print is finished. If there are any issues we will contact you within one to two days. To be sure to receive your print on time send or bring your file(s) at least a week before you need the print.

What type of file format should I use?
Files must be submitted in .stl format to be printed.
How do I save a file in STL?
- With your piece open in SolidWorks click File and then Save As
- Select .stl for the type
- Click Options
- Change the units to millimeters
- Under Resolution move the Deviation/Tolerance to the middle of the slide bar
- If you are saving an assembly as a single .
stl be sure to click the checkbox for Save all components of an assembly in a single file. - Click OK and Save
- If your are using AutoCad simply click Export and then Other Format
- Select .stl and Save
Who can use the 3D printing services?
Though primarily used by USU students and faculty the printers are also open for the general public.
How much will my print cost?
The cost is determined by multiple factors including which printer is chosen, the size of the print, the material, and the interior fill; as such, you will need to reach out to us for a price quote.
I don’t know how to make a file but still want to print. Is there any way to do that?

The concept of notification

These documents must be available if the product has a cryptographic purpose or if its components include elements of this nature. You can find out if a product belongs to this category from a single List 2.19, and receive a notification at the Center for the LSZ of the FSB of Russia. Information about its registration is posted on the official website of the EEC.

What to do if the notification is invalid?
If the product is included in the category of cryptographic means and is listed in the List, but you did not find it in the register of notifications of the Customs Union , or it is no longer valid, then you need to issue the permit yourself.
