SIMPLE UPGRADE, BIG RESULTS

No matter the shape, size, or design of your 3D printer, adding a BuildTak FlexPlate System converts it to a removable print bed system. Instead of reaching into your 3D printer and removing parts there, you can now remove your FlexPlate from the entire print bed along with your finished 3D printed part. Take your FlexPlate and finished part to your chosen workspace, bend the FlexPlate in any direction, and your 3D print should effortlessly pop off of the BuildTak print surface. This simple upgrade to your 3D printer can make a world of difference. Once you experience the ease of using a FlexPlate with BuildTak, you’ll never want to print on anything else.

MAXIMIZE YOUR MACHINE TIME

BuildTak Sheets have been a favorite 3D printing surface for over two years, and the FlexPlate System makes utilizing BuildTak even easier. Available in a variety of sizes to fit all kinds of 3D printers on the market, simply install the Magnetic Base on top of your 3D printer’s existing print bed, adhere a BuildTak sheet to the FlexPlate, and magnetically attach the FlexPlate to the Magnetic Base. After your 3D print is finished, the FlexPlate with the BuildTak sheet can be easily detached from the print bed, flexed in any direction, and with a gentle twist, your 3D printed part should separate from the print bed cleanly. Replace the FlexPlate back onto the Magnetic Base, and you're ready to print again!

The BuildTak FlexPlate makes removing prints quick and easy!

PRINTinZ launches new flexible 3D printing Zebra Plate

Miscellaneous

After two years of experimenting with the flexible 3D printing Ninja Plate, PRINTinZ received enough feedback from its customers, both good and bad, to start making the Zebra Plate. This insert is stronger and cheaper than its predecessor, while still delivering significantly better results. One side is white and the other side is black, so the user can easily follow how the first layers are laid on the platform, regardless of the color of the fiber. To remove the finished product from the plate, it is enough to use a thin spatula or spatula. Also, as an option, the plate can be bent, and the product itself will jump into your hands.

But still, the spatula is more suitable for these purposes, unless, of course, you want the first layer of the product to remain on the plate. nine0003

Zebra Plate comes in a variety of sizes, so it can be matched to almost any 3D printer on the market, from the famous MakerBot, Ultimaker or Printrbot to DIY and RepRap builds. The cost of the plate varies from $13 to $50. There's even a $70 plate, but it's huge: 27 cm x 30 cm. You can purchase a plate that is the closest size to your printer's print bed and simply secure it in place with a couple of clips. Since the plate is easy to remove, you can always start working on a new piece by setting the newly printed piece aside to cool. nine0003

Zebra Plate can also be used on 3D printers with a heated print bed, just keep an eye on the temperature. For perfect results, PRINTinZ advises users to use PLA and avoid platform heat. However, if the product has a complex shape or may deform, the platform can be slightly heated, but not higher than 40° C.

The Zebra Plate can also print ABS products, but is not suitable for making large models or models with 100% infill , as they may be too hot, deform the plate and damage its surface. When using ABS, the print bed can reach temperatures of up to 110°C. This means that the surface temperature of the plate can reach between 70°C and 80°C. PRINTinZ advises users to avoid heating the plate above 50°C and only do so when absolutely necessary. As for more exotic materials like PETG, Laywoo-D3 and BronzeFill, they should be handled in the same way as PLA. In the coming weeks, PRINTinZ plans to test other materials as well. nine0003

The manufacturer has just added a Zebra Plates section to their website. There you can find all the information on sizes and prices. There are also helpful tips to help you prolong the life of your plate, and some helpful videos on how to properly remove products from the plate and print with different materials.
