How a barcode reader works

Photo scanners read bar codes using photo detectors. The camera photographs the label in full format. The image is recognized by the firmware. Recognition speed: up to 100 codes per minute. Laser scanners direct a laser beam at the label. Inside the device there are mirrors that refract the beam into several streams. To recognize a barcode, at least one of the beams must hit the label. • If the synchronization is successful, it will be displayed in the program or text editor. After that, you can start scanning labels.
• If no new information appears on the monitor, the connection failed.
